About

About ICoVP

The International Conference on Vibration Problems (ICOVP) is a well-established international scientific conference dedicated to the study of vibration phenomena, wave mechanics, and dynamic systems. The conference series began in 1990 and has been held regularly in multiple countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

ICOVP 2027 will be the 17th edition of this series and will be held on May 10–13, 2027, in Brasília, Brazil, hosted by the University of Brasília (UnB) at the FINATEC Conference Center. This will be the first time the conference is held in Latin America, representing a significant milestone for the Brazilian and South American scientific communities.

The conference brings together researchers, engineers, and professionals working in theoretical, computational, and experimental aspects of vibrations and related engineering disciplines, from universities, research centers, and industry worldwide.

History

The International Conference on Vibration Problems (ICOVP) series was founded by Prof. Paritosh Biswas (University of North Bengal, India) and Prof. Murali Mohan Banerjee. The first edition was held in 1990 at A.C. College, Jalpaiguri, India, under the name “International Conference on Vibration Problems of Mathematics and Physics”. Over more than three decades, the conference has consolidated itself as a leading international forum for researchers, engineers, and scientists working on mechanical vibrations, structural dynamics, and related topics.
